Franziska Maral: Berlin wirkte unverbindlich, es war für mich keine warme Stadt. Man konnte von jetzt auf gleich hinfahren, es hat sich immer ergeben, dass man irgendwo schlafen durfte, bei Bekannten, bei Freunden von Freunden.

Man hat zusammen gegessen, gefeiert, man wurde einfach aufgenommen. Es gab eine Form von Gastfreundschaft, die ich sehr an Berlin schätzen gelernt habe.

Franziska Maral: So habe ich mir Berlin auch vorgestellt. Aber als ich dorthin kam, war es nicht mehr so.

Dennoch: Adnan wäre nicht aus Berlin weggegangen. Adnan Maral: Als klar wurde, dass Franziska sich nicht zu Hause fühlt, fand ich es wichtig, einen Kompromiss zu finden.

Wir wollten auch nicht mehr so weit weg von unseren Eltern leben. Zufälligerweise war ich kurze Zeit später bei einem Dreh in München, der Regieassistent erzählte von einem Haus am Stadtrand, das vermietet werden sollte.
