Definitely one of my favorite films of I loved this movie. Gore Verbinski did a phenomenal job. The story is about a Wall Street stockbroker who is tasked with retrieving the CEO from a resort in the Swiss Alps; upon entering everything starts to unravel.
The acting was great with Dane DeHaan being the main protagonist. The other star was the antagonist Jason Isaacs as the doctor.
The action was well articulated with a few standout scenes; nothing like Predator lol. I must mention there were at least two cringe scenes that made me be like whoa.
The cinematography is what really was the cherry on top; beautifully shot scenes and angles. I highly recommend watching this film.

The casting is perfect as are the performances there in. Coudn't recommend this horror enough, unfortunately the film does drag a bit it would have benefited from a tidier running time that's my only critique of the film otherwise fantastic!
Brilliant horror for a modern day horror fan like i am. This is very much in the same mould as Shutter Island where the lead character takes the viewer on a journey to discover the shady goings on at a swiss mountain health resort from which no patients ever leave.
The blu ray itself features one of the most beautiful and detailed pictures I have seen on this format that is high on detail and sharp as a pin!
