The cast is incredible. I can see towards the latter half of season 1 how Sterling K. Brown won an Emmy for his performance. Ron Cephas Jones was equally incredible.

And so much can be said for the actors playing Dr. K nas young William. High praise to the entire ensemble cast overall. They take what the writers give them and made it that much more special than it already is.

The plot is outstanding. Never have I seen a flashback-heavy plot go back bad forth to shed more light or similarities with the present timeline.

Lastly, the soundtrack is on point. Beautiful soft ambient folk sounds to set the mood, and other great songs to set the mood of the episode or scene again, Memphis was on point with the music as well.

Best episode in my opinion is Memphis. The episode that precedes it and the ones up until the finale are also perfection.
